The Labyrinth’s Sacred Path

It was a warm overcast Spring Day
That I went for a walk in the woods
I found a labyrinth and decided to walk it
It was made of rocks on a soft bed of pine needles
A quiet and peaceful place with birds singing
And a small breeze blowing on my face
I stepped up to the entrance and stood for a moment
A light rain began to fall as if to purge my body
Before stepping onto its ancient sacred pathway
Standing there I released my pain anger and disappointments
And then stepping onto its path I walked slowly in awe
As I felt the Great Spirit greet my wounded soul
And rounding each bend I felt a magical pull
That filled my heart with growing absolute peace
And upon reaching the center stood there in amazement
As I received healing for every wound and scar
Once filled and overflowing I retraced my steps
Spilling the overflowing healing waters at each turn
Vowing to share the flow upon the return exit
As I walk the labyrinths sacred pathway often
